2nd Emergent Technology

I chose for Emerging Technology 2, Protagonize. Protagonize is a unique creative writing website. The writers work in a variety of genres with the goal of creating a supportive environment. Protagonize author’s either work with you as a single writer and/or collaborative writers. There writing genre include, but is not limited to: short stories, interactive fiction-style adventures, novels, poetry, writing exercises, creative writing competitions.
Protagnize todate has 16,589 works, 70,258 pages, and 66,860 tags have been published in 128 categories since Dec 21, 2007. They offered writing tournament 2010, information on copywriting, and other timely information.
Setting up an account is easy and free. The site is currently ad-supported; however, Protagonize is currently developing a new subscription system. Subscriptions will be split into two types of accounts, Pro accounts and Plus accounts. These subscriptions are optional. I elected to have a free account, which is restricted to some of their more advanced offerings.
The purpose of Protagonize is to help others writers create and develop original stories. It has writers who will contribute to existing stories, also. Part of their claim, they are willing to discuss and help you refine your writing style and technique. They afford you an opportunity to follow writers that are more experienced.

I chose it because I felt it might be useful in helping me to develop my writing skills. It should prove beneficial to have an online community to offer feedback on your composed thoughts. I thought it might be fun to collaborate on a short story, novella, or a poem. Protagonize even has a category called “writing exercises,” which I am looking forward to exploring. This Emerging Technology sparked my interest. Of course, all writing I choose to enter will be new. I will not be submitting anything I have previously worked on.
Signing up for an account is user friendly. I did a profile containing very little personal information. Protagonize has a sharable facebook, URL: http://prt.ag/7eiA . I found my first experience pleasurable. I am doing a collaborate piece; here is my first textbox entry:

Tips: Be prepared to write a chapter with your own title, or start with a writer exercise. Be confident and develop your skills. Who knows you maybe the next Stephen King, Toni Morrison, or J R R Tolkien?
